  The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, in partnership with Connecticut Light & Power and The United Illuminating Company, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010-2011 Connecticut Zero Energy Challenge (ZEC). This design and build competition challenges home builders and homeowners to reduce energy consumption and overall environmental impact when building or renovating their home. The winners of this year’s ZEC demonstrate the diverse methods and strategies available to meet that challenge.

  The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund is taking applications for its 2010-2011 Zero Energy Challenge competition where the builder of the most energy-efficient home receives $10,000. The goal of the competition is to showcase groundbreaking projects in energy efficiencies and reward and promote the developers and builders who use the techniques. Participants in the competition will have their projects and their progress detailed on the Zero Energy Challenge Web site.

  The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund is sponsoring the 2010-2011 Zero Energy Challenge competition for designers and builders of new homes in Connecticut. While the 2009-2010 Challenge is still going strong, the 2010-2011 Challenge will allow another group of builders and homeowners to showcase their projects.
