Building a near zero energy home is achievable today. Homes that consume almost no energy. Homes that produce energy on-site. Homes with cleaner air. Advanced designs and integrated systems that are changing the way we think about residential construction. That’s what this Challenge is all about. The CT Zero Energy Challenge is a design and build competition that awards cash prizes to its winners, while educating and demonstrating how to build super high-efficiency homes.

Connecticut’s Energy Efficiency Programs are funded by a charge on customer energy bills. The Programs are designed to help customers manage their energy usage and cost.
