SAND Corporation:

The South Arsenal Neighborhood Development (SAND) Corporation was incorporated in 1968 as the first neighborhood development corporation in the State. Its original mission was to develop the South Arsenal Apartment complex (272 units). SAND then expanded its focus and became the primary deliverer of social services to the residents in the South Arsenal neighborhood.  Through the SAND Net Zero Energy Housing project, SAND is returning to its roots in affordable housing development. SAND has a number of corporate sponsors, including United Technologies and Prudential Financial.

SAND's ongoing mission is to improve the economic, physical and social condition of its service population.

Crosskey Architects:

Crosskey Architects LLC is an eleven person, award-winning design practice, experienced in new construction and renovation projects, with construction budgets ranging up to $150 million.  For over 20 years, Crosskey Architects has specialized in multifamily housing focusing in particular on affordable and supportive housing, while continuing to engage in commercial and mixed use projects. The firm also takes interest in the preservation and improvement of Connecticut’s historic towns and cities. In the last several years, the firm has broadened its social mission to include environmental concerns, became a member of the United States Green Building Council, and added three LEED Accredited Professionals on the team to better serve a growing demand for greener buildings.
