Attainable and Sustainable. The goal at Ark is to provide high performance healthy and long lasting homes at an attainable price. James Pepitone has been working with the Betsy Pettit (principal), Ken Neuhauser (architect) and Peter Baker (engineer) of Building Science, Boston, to develop a system of sustainable construction methods to insure that ARK homes meet and exceed the standard set by the Department of Energy Build America Program.
Bob DeLuca, Ellen Bartlett and Brian Long representing CLA engineers, Norwich CT, created and engineered Greenbrier’s 14 lot, 50 acre site that includes a 12 acre nature preserve. Thanks to their efforts Greenbrier has received recognition from the National Association of Home Builders as the first development in the North East and CT to be certified as a Green Subdivision.
James Pepitone, MBA and MA in Irenic Studies, is a National Director of NAHB, Board Member of BAEC, a Certified Green Building Professional and has been active in Real Estate Development and Construction for over 25 years.
